Protégé, Danny McCoy (Josh Duhamel, "All My Children") a previous U.S. Marine and a Las Vegas native works together with Big Ed, dealing with card-counting cheaters, suspicious streaks of random luck and competition stealing their big-money players in the Montecito Resort & Casino.

As if the typical job pressures were not enough, Big Ed discovers Danny in bed with his only spoilt daughter, Delinda (Molly Sims).

Rolling out a high profile cast are Danny's old friend and soon-to-be-director of special events of the casino, Mary Connell (Nikki Cox), the information hub of a valet – Mike Cannon (James Lesure), sleek and smooth pit boss – Nessa Holt also known as "The Ice Queen" (Marsha Thomason) and the sophistical former competitor Samantha "Sam" Jane (Vanessa Marcil).
