Life Without Technology?

Life Without Technology?May 13, 2008

Singapore - Imagine if ALL electronic technology was suddenly rendered useless. There would be no working phones to call loved ones, no e-mails to send and not even a plane to catch to go home. Advertising Executive Russell Shoemaker found himself in exactly this predicament when he flew to New York City on a business trip, only to wake up the next day to find 99% of the world's population missing and all electronic technology dead!

This is Afterworld, a post-apocalyptic world in the aftermath of a global catastrophic phenomenon. Edgy and engaging, plunge into this futuristic 2.5D animated series coming your way on action and adventure destination AXN, online and even on your mobile phones from 19 May, Every Monday to Friday @ 7pm (SG, MY, PH, TH) 8pm (HK) 6pm (JKT).

From Emmy-award nominated producer Stan Rogow (Lizzie McGuire, All I want for Christmas) and creators: renowned multi-platform writer Brent V. Friedman (Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars video game, Dark Skies, Mortal Kombat 2) and artist/filmmaker Michael DeCourcey, this unique and interactive 2-minute, 130 episodic series Afterworld depicts a radical and unfathomable future universe.

Russell begins a harrowing 3000-mile journey across the eerie, silent, post-apocalyptic America in the hopes of finding his wife and daughter alive. Along the way, he discovers other survivors and becomes a symbol of hope, a modern superhero among the remaining few 'left behind'. Clue by clue, they try to piece together a picture of what happened to the world.
